Starbucks loses TM dispute over Morinaga Mountain Range logo

A lawsuit filed in Osaka was filed against a social welfare corporation based in Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which operates a special nursing home for the elderly with the same name. It turned out that the district court (presiding judge Eiji Morisaki) acknowledged the infringement of the trademark right by the 21st and settled on the condition that it would not be used after April next year.
As of 20 November 2017 the National Institute of Industrial Property of Argentina (INPI) and the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) have made their trade mark data available to the TMview search tool.
