商標登録していたのは福山黒酢とは無関係の英国籍のブランド管理会社。桷志田は２０１０年に中国で調味料部門での登録を済ませていたが、１４年に海外企業が清涼飲料水などの部門で登録していたことが発覚した。このため果物を使った飲料酢などの輸出を控えてきた。
