地理的表示保護制度において、江戸時代初期から伝統製法による味噌作りを続けている合資会社八丁味噌（屋号 カクキュー）及び株式会社まるや八丁味噌の２社の「八丁味噌」が除かれたまま、「八丁味噌」として登録されている。同制度は、生産地の場所を特定するものであるため、現在の八帖町の一部、当該２社の敷地を八丁味噌の起源である「八丁」町に変更回復することにより、同制度の見直し支援につなげる。

福島県伊達市梁川町五十沢地区発祥の「伊達のあんぽ柿」が、地域の農林水産物や食品のブランドを守る国の「地理的表示（ＧＩ）保護制度」に登録される見通しとなった。ＪＡふくしま未来はＧＩ登録日を「あんぽ柿の日」として日本記念日協会に申請し、誕生１００年となるあんぽ柿の産地を一層盛り上げる。２４日、同ＪＡが明らかにした。
