為使智慧財產權數位服務更完整及接軌國際趨勢，智慧局預計於112年1月起開放外界申請專利及商標電子證書，透過無紙化方式提升證書取得及保存之便利性，讓權利人能更便於攜帶與展示，同時減少紙張印製與寄送成本，亦有助於節能減碳之永續發展目標。
