～地域産品のビジネス拡大 全国組織化で加速！！～本日(2022年1月19日)、地理的表示（以下「GI」という。）保護制度の更なる発展を目指すため、日本地理的表示協議会が設立されました。設立総会に当たり、金子農林水産大臣はビデオメッセージで、協議会の活動を通じて「地域の宝」として登録産品の魅力を高め、輸出拡大も含めた更なる発展を期待したいと述べました。

The Japan Geographical Indications Council aims to unite GI registered organizations nationwide and promote the sale and export of GI products through cooperation between GI registered organizations, thereby revitalizing their activities and raising awareness of the GI system.
