種苗法改正 生産現場の周知を求む

A bill to amend the Seed and Seedlings Act has been submitted to the current Diet. The aim of the amendment is said to be to establish measures to prevent the outflow of registered varieties overseas, but some producers are voicing concerns that this will result in a blanket ban on self-propagation and that seeds will be monopolized by foreign capital.
